In loving memory of Judith J. McCracken Wilson: 1941-2025

Posted

Judith J. McCracken Wilson passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side. Judith went peacefully into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior.

Born on Sept. 19, 1941, Judith was a woman of deep faith and vibrant spirit. In her younger years, she and her brother, Craig Purdy, shared their gift of music through family gatherings and local talent shows. Her love of music never faded. She especially cherished gospel songs, the voice of Elvis Presley, and any chance to sing and dance. She also had a special fondness for the color purple, which reflected her bold and joyful personality.

In 1971, she married Bill McCracken, and together they raised four children: James, Larry and John McCracken, and Carrie McMahan. They built a life full of laughter, adventure and community. They enjoyed road trips and getaways to Reno, and served side by side with the Randle Fire Department, where they also taught EMT classes.

Later in life, Judith and Bill moved to Haines, Alaska. They owned and operated a restaurant before retiring and returning to Washington. Bill passed in 2008. Judith found companionship and married Oral Wilson in 2012. They spent quiet days together at home tending to their flowers, working in the garden, and remaining active in their church community.

Judith’s greatest joys were found in simple things: music, nature, family gatherings, and her deep and abiding faith. She leaves behind a legacy of love in the hearts of her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. June 14, 2025, at Reconciled Christian Fellowship Church, 130 Morris Road, Randle, with a luncheon to follow. All are welcome to come and honor Judith’s memory and the beautiful life she lived.
