Joyce Goodrich, born on Jan. 3, 1946, in Vancouver, Canada, passed away peacefully while in the exceptional care of Best Quality Home Care in Centralia, Washington, on April 17, 2026, at the age of 80 after courageously battling multiple sclerosis for decades.

Joyce was a woman of remarkable strength and quiet resilience. Despite the challenges of her long illness, she never complained and remained one of the hardest-working women her family has ever known. Her determination and positive spirit inspired all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carl Goodrich.

Joyce is survived by her sister, Margaret Bekker (husband Howard Boyko); and children: Kathy Jo Sandrini (husband Ron Sandrini) and Carl Dean Goodrich Jr. (wife Sheila Goodrich).

Her cherished grandchildren include: Alexandra Zimmerman (husband Gabe Zimmerman), Jessika-Jo Tatum (husband Anthony Tatum), Jordan Dixon (husband Brady Dixon), Josey Wallace (husband Travis Wallace), Kane Goodrich (partner Lindsey Ortiz), and Morgan Goodrich.

She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren: Zoey Zimmerman, Izzy Zimmerman, Miles Tatum, Tessa-Jo Tatum, Mason Dixon, Jenna Dixon, Deker Dixon, Korbin Ortiz-Goodrich, and Alice Ortiz-Goodrich.

She found joy in many creative pursuits, such as upcycling greeting cards, hand embroidery, and collecting knickknacks. She had a special talent for bringing her family together and instilling beloved holiday traditions that will continue to be passed down through generations.

Joyce’s legacy lives on through the strength, love, and traditions she so generously shared with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
