It is with great sadness that the family of Jeannie (Applegarth) Camara announces her passing following a long battle with cancer.
Jeannie was born to Larry and Sharon Applegarth on Nov. 7, 1963. Following her graduation from Rochester High School in 1983, Jeannie spent most of her life in the California area where she recently retired as a paralegal with a law firm in Davis. Jeannie moved back to Washington in 2020 to be closer to family.
She is survived by the love of her life and longtime partner, Glenn Simmons; son, Robert Camara; daughter, Sarah Camara, and her fiancé Eddy; her parents, Larry and Sharon Applegarth; brother, Lee (Viki) Applegarth; her nieces, Kelcy Applegarth, Jamie (Luke) Gearhart and Rachel (Carter) Gorton; and great-nieces Ava and Summer Gorton. Jeannie's extended family consisted of Justin (Larissa) Simmons, Sabrina Sample and son Aiden, and Randy and Cheryl Krogseth, along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins as well as many wonderful friends who were considered family by Jeannie.
Friends and family are invited to join us to honor Jeannie with a celebration of life from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, 2023, at Swede Hall, 18543 Albany St. SW in Rochester, Washington.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Jeannie's name to the American Cancer Society.
