Jeanette Marie Lininger was born in Roanoke, Indiana to Andrew and Gertrude Hinen. She passed away at Providence Hospital, Centralia, Washington. She was the oldest of six children and grew up in Winlock, Washington.
Once graduated from high school, she went to work for the telephone company, relocating to Seattle. After her first marriage, she and son Jack returned to the family home. Shortly thereafter, she went to work at the El Rancho Tavern where she met and eventually married Norman Lininger. They settled and raised their family in Oakville. Post retirement, they relocated to Adna.
Always a working mom, she was a pro waitress, cook, and occasional bartender. For two years she and Norman owned and operated the Pine Cafe in Oakville. She was committed to providing the best customer service experience, proud of her work and accomplishments and always willing to teach others how to do it right. An avid quilter, her expression of love to family was making at least one unique beautiful quilt for each of them.
She is survived by son Jack Tompkins (Sissy) Battle Mountain, Nevada; son Dennis Lininger Adna, Washington; son Mark (Shannon) Lininger Centralia, Washington; daughter Norma (Steve) Murray, Redmond, Washington; daughter-in-law Jackie Lininger and sister-in-law Linda Hinen; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and siblings Ethel (Joe) Barlow, Paul (Jeri) Hinen and Ruth Hinen. She is predeceased by husband Norman E. Lininger; son Ronald Lininger; daughter-in-law Jacklen Lininger; parents Andrew and Gertrude Hinen; and brothers Norman and Roger Hinen.
A graveside service for both Jeanette and Norman will be held at 11:00 AM on Sept. 14, 2023, at Claquato Cemetery to be followed by a celebration of life at the Chehalis Moose Lodge at noon. Lunch will be served at 1:00 PM.
