Janet Adele Plumb passed away peacefully after a brief illness on June 2, 2025, at the age of 81. She was born on Dec. 15, 1943, in Chehalis, Washington, to James and Josephine Tauscher.
Janet graduated from W.F. West High School in 1962 and remained close with many of her classmates throughout her life. She had a lifelong passion for cooking, knitting, reading, and enjoyed a wide variety of crafting projects.
She worked at the National Bank of Washington and later retired from the Washington State Department of Social Services.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Jim and John; her husbands, Ken Griffith and Wayne Plumb; and her beloved dog, Kiwi.
She is survived by her daughter, Josie (Wally) Barron; granddaughter, Amber; great-granddaughter, Danica; sisters, Joanne Calvin and Joyce Davis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the caregivers at Sharon Care and the staff at Providence Centralia Hospital for their compassionate care.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
