In loving memory of James Morgan: 1936 - 2025

In loving memory of James David Morgan, who went home to his heavenly Father May 27, 2025.

Jim was born Nov. 19, 1936, in Centralia, Washington, to John Henry and Verna Morgan. He was the sixth of six children and was the last surviving child, growing up in Winlock, Washington, and graduating from high school in 1955 as class president.

He graduated from WSU in Pullman, Washington, as a proud Cougar with a degree in bacteriology and public health and had a long career as a hospital and nursing home administrator.

He met the love of his life, Nancy Morgan, of 63 years at Tacoma General.

He had a passion for collecting and, over 50 years, enjoyed gathering coins and paper currency from around the world. He also enjoyed collecting baseball cards and memorabilia his whole life and, in his later years, accumulated a remarkable collection of his beloved Ichiro. He retired from his lab position in 2000 from Providence Hospital in Olympia, Washington.

Jim leaves behind his wife, Nancy; sons, Mark and David; daughters, Michelle and Erin; as well as eight grandchildren, a great-grandson, and another great-grandson due this month.

His wishes are to have a mutual interment service of their ashes with his surviving loving wife, Nancy, at what we are hoping is a much later date in the Morgan family section at the Winlock Cemetery.
