James (Jim) Ronald Beard Jr. 52, of Williston, North Dakota, formerly of Toledo, Washington passed away on Monday, Nov. 13, 2023 at his residence in Williston, North Dakota.
James (Jim) Ronald Beard Jr. was born on April 19, 1971 in Orange County, California. Jim was a veteran of Desert Storm and, after being honorably discharged from the U.S. Army, he made his home in Washington state. In 2013, Jim began working in North Dakota and later moved there full-time.
Jim is survived by his father James Ronald Beard Sr.; his mother Terri Corbin; his son James Ronald Beard III; his daughter Faith Ann Robinson (Christian Donald Robinson); his sisters Lawanda, Wendy and Rhonda Beard; his nieces Kiersten Covington and Kyra Covington; and his grandchildren Everleigh Grace Beard and Kohen James Beard, as well as a multitude of extended family. He was preceded in death by his first daughter Melody Ann Beard, his sister Thelma Beard and his uncle Robert Warren Beard.
Jim found his passion in iron working and building things with his hands. If you ask any of Jim’s friends or family, they would tell you Jim was the hardest working man they knew. Jim always had a project going and was always willing to lend a hand to a friend in need. Jim was an avid outdoorsman and never missed an opportunity to hunt, fish or spend time driving the backroads. The best times were when he was able to share these experiences with his close friends and family.
Jim is leaving behind numerous friends and family who have countless memories of their time with him. He was strong, funny and kind. He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure to know him.
Keeping with Jim’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be scheduled in April of 2024 in Washington state. Fulkerson Stevenson Funeral Home in Williston is assisting the family. Condolences may be left on our funeral home website at www.fulkersons.com.
