Holli (Hearn) McCain passed peacefully at home on Aug. 8, 2025, with her family and beloved dogs around her after a long battle with cancer.
She was born March 7, 1977, in Longview, Washington, to Dan and Peggy Hearn.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Don and Glennys Pacsmag and Richard Hearn, as well as her previous husband, Mickan McGarrah.
Holli leaves behind her husband, Dan McCain; her mother, Peggy Hearn; her children, sons Wes McGarrah (Manda) and Cole McGarrah; daughters Presley Latimer and Keyana McCain; and her grandsons, Wyatt and Daxton.
Holli attended Napavine and Chehalis public schools. She was a member of 4-H and FFA, winning many awards for her market animals.
Through the years, Holli held many jobs, including at Shaker Town, as a restaurant and bar manager, as a construction manager for the Housing Mart, in personal collections for a local law firm, and with the Washington Department of Licensing.
Her favorite roles, however, were wife, daughter, mother and grandmother. She was especially passionate about her dogs, chickens and, most recently, her ducks.
Holli enjoyed many things, including spending time with her friends, riding mules with her husband and hunting. By nature, she was a happy person, making fun wherever she was. She was generous, caring and loyal to all who knew her.
A celebration of life will be held Sept. 28 at the Mason Jar, 637 Leonard Road, Onalaska, beginning at 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lewis County Animal Shelter in her name.
