Huck was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Lenice (Briggs) Larson; his oldest son, Tim Larson; and his parents, Viola and Wallace Larson.
Huck is survived by his children and their spouses, Jeff and Kelli Larson, Teresa Larson and Sandy Davis; daughter-in-law, Jonette Larson; and three grandchildren, Tess, Dani and Travis.
Huck was born and raised in Canton, Wisconsin. He attended Cameron High School, where he was a standout on the baseball field. He was an all-star at the plate and on the pitcher’s mound. Huck was also an avid hunter. When he wasn’t on the baseball field, he would be out hunting whatever was in season at the time.
Huck married Lenice in 1961 and relocated to Puyallup, Washington, in 1967. They lived there for several years before relocating to Southwest Washington, making their home in Salkum for the past 25 years. Huck and Lenice spent the majority of their leisure time attending their children’s and eventually their grandchildren’s sporting events, as well as camping, hunting and fishing.
Huck spent most of his work life, just as he spent his leisure time — outside. Locating and hauling cedar blocks to the mill was probably his favorite job, as it kept him in the woods and scouting elk for the next season.
Huck always put his family first, but hunting season and watching his beloved Seattle Mariners came in a very close second and third. His passion for all he loved will be dearly missed.
The family will have a private celebration of life.
