In loving memory of Gloria Moon: 1937-2025

Gloria Lorraine (Brinson) Moon went peacefully to her eternal rest on May 26, 2025. She was 87 years old.

Gloria was born Dec. 17, 1937, in Halsey, Nebraska. She was the eldest of seven children and spent her young years in Winlock, Washington. She married Edward Moon in 1955 at the age of 17 and had four children by the age of 24. In 1964, the family moved to Yakima Valley. Gloria fell in love with the area and spent her life in the Tampico community. She loved horses, quilting, fishing and spoiling her grandkids.

Gloria was preceded in death by her father, Wilton William (Bud) Brinson; her mother, Glenrose Ethel (McCarter) Brinson-Creek; and three brothers, Raymond, Chuck and Roy Brinson. She is survived by her children, Dixie (Ron) Hurley, Larry (Sandy) Moon, Diane (Dennis) Moon and Gary (Pam) Moon; her sisters, Charlotte Kimsey and Marcia (Dick) Huckabee; her brother, Phillip Brinson; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

There will be two memorial services for Gloria. The first will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 27, at Brookside Funeral Home and Crematory, 500 W. Prospect Place, Moxee, Washington. A graveside service will follow at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 28, at Winlock Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Winlock, Washington.
