Geraldine Louise Ensrud, 75, of Centralia, passed away July 20, 2022, at home. She was born Feb. 16, 1947, to Irl Coleman Sr. and Geraldine (Swedberg) Coleman in Centralia. Geraldine grew up with four siblings, Brady Pollard, Irlene Haynes, Irl Coleman and Ron Coleman. She attended Centralia High School.
On June 7, 1969, Geraldine married Jay L. Ensrud at St. John Lutheran Church, Chehalis. Together, they had one son, Charles (Chuck) Ensrud. You may recognize Geraldine from working at many local restaurants including Walt’s, Country Cousins, Kit Carson and Shari’s during the 70s and 80s. In 1990, she began working at Cedar Creek Corrections Facility, until retiring in 2011.
Her hobbies included collecting old photos and putting together photo albums and taking day trips to the beach.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her father and mother, Irl Coleman Sr. and Geraldine (Swedberg) Coleman; brother, Brady Pollard; and sister, Irlene Haynes.
Survivors include husband, Jay L. Ensrud; son, Charles (Chuck) Ensrud; brothers, Irl (Terry) Coleman and Ron (Lena) Coleman; nieces, Donna (Haynes) Hoium and Shelly (Haynes) Cummings; grandsons, Koletin Ensrud and Hunter Ensrud; brother-in-law, Louie Haynes; and numerous cousins.
The family would like to thank everyone for taking time out to say kind words and show us support in this difficult time, with hard times going on in everyone’s life.
