In Loving Memory of Gary Allen Hitch Jr.

Posted

Son, father, husband, partner, brother and friend to most, Gary Allen Hitch Jr. embodied the characteristics most people strive for. His integrity earned respect from everyone he met.

As Gary traveled life through many different circles, one thing always remained constant and true: He always put the needs of his family and brothers and friends above his own. No matter the time or place Gary always “had your back.”

Gary was truly in the 1% of men willing to fight and die for his freedoms and beliefs. While the cancer finally took his life, he fought to the last breath to stay with everyone now left behind, which includes his mom Debbie; four daughters Kandyce, Lindsay, Grace and Faith; his brothers, the Misfits; and his collection of great friends. Gary’s genuine love of life and compassion were legendary as were his heartfelt hugs and usually sound advice. Gary’s passion was to build and ride his customized Harleys and he was often found wreaking havoc at top speed in his bright red helmet.

Gary will be missed by all who knew him and we are sure he is riding into heaven with “Simple Man” by Shinedown playing way too loud on his headphones.

There will be a funeral service at 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 19, 2022, at New Beginnings Church with a potluck to follow at 5:30 p.m. in the Virgil R. Lee Building in Chehalis with a memorial ride and celebration to be held in the spring at a to be determined date.
