In loving memory of Ethel W. Keen: 1930-2024

Ethel W. Keen, 93, of Ethel, Washington, passed away on Jan.11, 2024, at her home in Ethel. She was born in Ajlune, Washington, on July 5, 1930, the oldest of seven children born to Gertrude Smith Evans and Ernest Evans.

Ethel was preceded in death by her first husband, Warren Elkins; and then husband, Ralph Keen, as well as her parents; brothers, Bud Evans and Leonard Evans; and sisters, Darlene Evans, Lorraine Evans and Carole Moore.

She is survived by her daughter, Pam Cole (Rick); grandson, Bret Cole (Christine); granddaughter, Crista Dobyns (Larry); six great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Sandra Osborne (Doug),;and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Ethel enjoyed going to the beach with former high school classmates a couple of times a year, embroidering, scrapbooking, reading, listening to country music, watching old movies, hosting family or friends for meals and everything purple.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Cathy, Debbie and Patty for their loving support and care.

A potluck memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. March 2 at the Onalaska Assembly of God Church on Leonard Road, Onalaska.
