Doris Spencer left this world on April 3, 2025. She passed away at her home in Green Valley, Arizona, surrounded by her children. Born in Oklahoma on Aug. 20, 1935, she arrived in Winlock, Washington in 1945 with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hakola. Doris went on to graduate from Winlock High School, where she met and kept lifelong friends.
She is survived by her children, Catherine Taylor and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bryant, along with several grandchildren who she adored.
Doris retired from the Lewis County Public Utility District, with one of her coworkers visiting her recently.
Doris always enjoyed visiting with friends and never met a stranger. Her last words were, “Bless your hearts.”
A private celebration of life will be planned for August.
