On Feb. 28, 2023, Donald Eugene Ochs passed away at PeaceHealth Hospital in Vancouver, Washington, with his wife and children by his side.

Donald was born on Sept. 2,1961, in Centralia, Washington to Bernard and Joanna Ochs. Being able to play little league with his dad as his coach was a treasure to Donald. He graduated from Centralia High School in1979 and joined the U.S.Air Force in 1986 as a nuclear weapons specialist stationed at Fairchild AFB. He was an avid University of Washington Husky fan and loved to fish.

Donald met the love of his life, Jennifer England, and they were married in 1985. Moving to Washougal, Washington in 1990, they raised their three children, Devin (Perry) Ochs, Deidre (Steve) Enos and Brenna Ochs. During this time, he was the volunteer fire chief of Skamania County for 20 years and like his father, coached baseball with undefeated seasons. While still living in Washougal, Donald was the general manager of Dear Service in Kent at the time of his death.

Donald was a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his children and his five grandchildren, Lincoln Ochs, Elliott Ochs, Sienna Enos, Elise Lamarche and Nora Lamarche. He was a leader, a teacher, a plumber, a manager and a salesman, but more importantly, he was an honest man and was truly loved by his family.

Donald is survived by his wife, three children, five grandchildren, his mother Joanna Ochs, his sisters Debbie Godsey and Ruth Clemons, uncle and aunt Tom and Peggy Waggoner, aunt Karen vonSeggern and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father Bernard Ochs, niece Jennifer Flood and brother-in-law Robert Godsey.
