In loving memory of Donald Hembree: 1948-2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donald Eugene Hembree, a beloved father, grandfather and friend, who left us on Sept. 4, 2025, at the age of 77. Donald was born on Aug. 20, 1948, in Highland Park, Michigan, to Everett Curtis and Ruby Estelle (Crawford) Hembree.

Don graduated from Bentley High School in Livonia, Michigan, in 1966 and proudly served in the United States Army for two years, demonstrating his commitment to his country. Following his military service, he established a successful career in the floorcovering business, where his work ethic and dedication as a business owner were admired by colleagues and clients alike.
Don was a passionate bowler and golfer, and he loved spending time at the senior center, where he enjoyed visiting with friends and engaging in lively conversations. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to neighbors, especially with yard work, embodying the true essence of community spirit.

His heart was also filled with love, having been married to Isabel Klein, Mary Langlois and Gail Kowalski throughout his life. Each relationship brought unique moments and memories that shaped him into the man we remember today

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Ruby; brother, Curtis Hembree; and sister, Marge Sambrook. He is survived by his sister Joy Hall; loving sons, Tim Hembree and Joshua Hembree; cherished daughters, Heidi Muller Fischer Hembree and Nicole Sciackitano; and grandchildren, Hunter Sciackitano, Jimmy Sciackitano, Nolan Sciackitano, Josh Hembree and Samantha Hembree.

As we mourn the loss of Donald Eugene Hembree, we celebrate the rich and fulfilling life he lived. His kind spirit, love for family and dedication to friendship will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be dearly missed but will continue to live on in the memories and stories shared by his family and friends.
