In loving memory of Dennis Silvernail: 1952-2026

Dennis Lee Silvernail of Winlock, WA, gained his wings to Heaven on June 23rd.

Dennis was born on January 16, 1952, in Tacoma, WA, to William and JoAnne Silvernail.

Dennis was raised in Sumner WA and had great memories of the neighborhood and the kids he grew up with. He worked in the Knutson Bulb Farms and the Berry Fields as a teenager. He was very active in High School in Band playing the Tuba and each year the School made an Album and Dennis was picked his Senior Year as All NW Band Tuba Player. Dennis was in Track, Cross Country Wrestling, he excelled in Wrestling and received a Scholarship to Green River Community College. He Loved Concerts and has seen many Big Bands at the Eagle Auditorium including the Doors. He was a Certified Scuba Diver along with his brother Doug and friends they would explore the underwater marine life in Puget Sound.

He had a 56 Crown Victoria he drove in High School. Dennis graduated from Sumner High School in 1970. Green River Community College with Associate of Science. Central Washington University with a Bachelor's Degree in Science. He joined the Army and was enlisted for Six years with reserve time and worked in the Medical Unit. He was stationed in Fort Polk Louisiana, Fort Sam Houston and Fort Ord, California. He was Honorably discharged in 1977. Dennis worked at Tacoma General Hospital and Centralia General as a Medical Technologist in Clinical Pathology. Dennis left the medical field and worked for Schwiesow Construction for over thirty years. He was an excellent Carpenter, Superintendent.

He was a Napavine Tiger Fan and followed his boys throughout their school years to all the games and then carried this tradition onto the grandkid's sports. He was always available for a pickup or drop off at the School after retirement. He spent 14 years in retirement traveling to Arizona for several months per year enjoying Side by side rides in the desert with friends and his wife Tina. He liked to sit on the patio in the evening and watch the sunset on the FootHill Mountains. He looked forward to his Annual trip to the Portland and Monroe Swap meet with his friends. Dennis loved being at home working in the yard and spending time in his Shop sitting at his desk. Dennis traveled with the Family to Disney World, Disneyland and a Nasa trip that he and Tina were planning to do again, Hawaii and an Alaska Cruise. After each Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving he would write each family member's name down and write the total that was there. He was a quiet man that gave great advice when asked. He was an Amazing Provider and the Rock of our Family.

He is survived by his wife Tina. Sons Steven ( Alisha) Griffith , Shad (Sheena) Griffith, Grandkids Riley, Maesen, Layton Griffith.

A Graveside Service will be at the Napavine Cemetery with Honors July 18, at 1 pm with a Celebration of Life at 209 Schreiner Road, Chehalis, WA. Immediately following the service.
