Throughout her college years and career, she made many wonderful, long-lasting friendships.
After retiring as an interior designer, she worked as secretary at her home church, Zion Lutheran, in Portland. Zion was truly her family — she loved worshiping and being in community with them.
Denise was blessed with the gift of hospitality. She shared her talents and creativity with her friends and family on special occasions and holidays, especially Christmas.

She is also survived by great-nephew Locryn and great-nieces Eloise, Svea and Bryher, as well as many loving extended family members, friends and neighbors.
Denise lived a life filled with love for her family, church family and friends. She was truly a precious gift from God to all who knew her.
