Born on June 17, 1952, in Port Angeles, Washington, to Gene and Gay Dansereau, Debbie Boekelman lived a life defined by caring for her friends and family and bringing happiness to the entire community through boundless love and never-ending generosity.
Debbie’s heart was most at home on the beautiful property she shared with her beloved husband, Vic, on the banks of the Willapa River, nestled at the edge of the forest. There, she created their sanctuary, dutifully tending to an overflowing greenhouse and vibrant gardens full of fresh berries, vegetables, fruit trees and flowers, including dahlias and geraniums. For Debbie, these gardens were a gift to be shared to bring happiness and joy to her cherished friends and family. She found her greatest happiness in the kitchen, turning her bountiful harvests into home-cooked meals and baking legendary cookies to be shared generously. Debbie never missed the chance to celebrate the people she cherished, whether it was birthdays, anniversaries, holidays or any other celebration — she looked forward to sending gifts, cards, flowers, cookies baked with love and personalized quilts for the soon-to-be-born loved ones.
Debbie passed away peacefully at home on Feb. 2, 2026, at the age of 73. Her legacy of warmth, happiness and generosity lives on through her husband, Vic; her children, Jeff (Jaimie), Melissa (Tad) and Tifanie (Stephen); her very cherished grandchildren, Jack and Pippa; and her sisters, Lori, Jana and Julie.
Invitations will be sent to friends and family to join in a celebration of life in the spring when Debbie’s flowers are in full bloom, ready to again spread happiness to friends and family.
