In loving memory of Dayle LaVerne Jersak

Dayle LaVerne Jersak, 89, of Loretto, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Feb. 28, 2024, surrounded by her children following complications from a stroke. 

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Daryl; and parents, LaVerne (McIvor) and G. Wayne Hamlett. She is survived by her three children, Sally (Greg) Wiley, Mary (Jack) Moody and John (Diane) Duff; three stepchildren, Bret Jersak, Russell (Kerrie) Jersak and Brenda (Corey) Wilcock; three grandchildren, Holt Bennington, Amber (Josh) Hetland and Cody Wiley; a great-grandson, Zeppelin Gill; four step-grandchildren, Ryan, Natalie, Joe and Jamie Jersak; and step-great-grandson, Justin Jersak.

Dayle was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and was a dedicated mother. She volunteered as a tutor at her children’s school. She was married to James Duff for 26 years, then moved to Washington state with her high school sweetheart Daryl Jersak. They had many happy years together and were very involved with the Episcopal church, Cursillo and a prison ministry. They enjoyed many road trips across the U.S. visiting friends and family. Dayle loved crossword puzzles, gardening and spending time outdoors, especially sunbathing and birdwatching. She was a sweet soul, beloved by many. She will be dearly missed.

No service will be held. Memorials preferred to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
