Dawn Patricia Hannum went to be with her Lord and Savior Jan. 27, 2026. Born to William Hannum and Patricia (Koski) Hannum Feb. 16, 1956, in Chehalis, Washington. Dawn graduated from Napavine High School in 1974, from University of Washington in 1978, and the University of Puget Sound with a doctorate of Jurisprudence in 1982. Dawn worked for the Department of Licensing in Olympia until her retirement.
She had a deep love for children, adopting three of her own. She loved watching them in their many activities, which she was so proud of. Dawn was a very generous person, giving to many charities and the foster care system. She loved going on vacations, especially the beach, Cannon Beach and Seaside being her favorites. She also loved going to Shakespeare and many other plays.
Dawn was preceded in death by her father, William Hannum; brothers, Steve Hannum and Charles Park; sister, Debby (Park) Goodman; and sister-in-law, Aundrea Hannum.
She leaves behind her mother, Patricia Hannum; brothers, Gary and (Lyndal) Hannum, Buzz and (Kristin) Hannum, and Erik Hannum; sister-in-law, Dana Hannum; brother-in-law, K.C. Goodman; and her children, Joshua Hannum, Ari Hannum, and Kel Hannum. Dawn had many nieces and nephews who all have very fond memories. They loved her dearly, and she will be deeply missed.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Centralia Square. A light luncheon will be provided. Please come and share your memories.
