In loving memory of Brian Nupen: 1947-2023

Brian Craig Nupen, 76, passed away on Nov. 28, 2023, at the Lodge at Eagle Ridge in Renton, Washington. He was born in Spokane on Aug. 21, 1947, to Patricia (Miller) Nupen and O.C. “Cliff” Nupen. 

He is survived by his sister, Sharon Hubbell, and her husband, John, as well as his four children, Brian David Nupen and his wife, Sheila, Jason Nupen and his wife, Abier, Jonathan Fischer and his wife, Erin, and David Fisher; along with 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Vicki Lynn Nupen, and his brother, Barry Nupen. 

Brian earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington and was a member of Centralia’s business community since the mid-70s as a manager at Bank Check Supply/Interchecks and most recently at Ragen Mackenzie. 

Brian enjoyed traveling, poker parties, hunting, fishing, fly tying and spending time at his lake cabin. 

A remembrance of life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 6 at the Stillwater Estates Community Building at 2800 Cooks Hill Road, Centralia, Washington.
