In loving memory of Brenda Lefebvre: 1939-2023

Brenda Catherine Lefebvre, of Chehalis, Washington, left this world on Sept. 24, 2023. She was born March 27, 1939, as Brenda Norris, in Stanley, Kentucky, to James and Maude Norris. She is preceded in death by her sister, Barbara; brother, James; and sister, Charlene. Her youngest sister, Regina Reid, resides in South Carolina. 

Brenda was a devout Catholic her entire life and was unwavering in her faith. Brenda was a long-time member of St. Joseph Catholic Parish in Chehalis. Brenda devoted herself to teaching children’s religious education and was nominated as St. Joseph Parish Woman of the Year. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. Brenda was a woman who lived selflessly and devoted her life to being of service to others. She enjoyed a successful career as a medical office director for local radiologists serving the community. She always took pride in doing her job well and believed in the value of hard work and persistence. She came from very humble beginnings on a small farm in rural Kentucky and went on to become a successful professional. Brenda was patient and loving to all those she came across, always ready to lend a listening ear and offer encouragement. 

Faith and family were the things that filled her heart with love and that she valued most in this world. She was a woman who would step in and help without question and never faltered in being a constant source of love and support. 

Brenda is survived by her husband of 54 years, Norman Lefebvre; her three sons, Tony Leisure, Phillip Leisure and Joe Lefebvre; her daughter, Christina Witchey; adopted daughter/granddaughter, Rachel Leisure; and adopted son/ grandson, James Leisure. Her love extended to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Daelyn Leisure, Brenna Witchey, Vivy Witchey and Tom Hayden, Jr.
