In loving memory of Alva Norton: 1935-2026

Alva Etta (Huntley) Norton passed away May 4, 2026, in Olympia, Washington. She was born July 29, 1935, in Kelso, Washington. She married George W. Norton on June 10, 1953, and they were married for 64 years.

Alva is survived by her four children, Stan Norton of Centralia, Susan Norton of Chehalis, Sandra Nanney of Longview, and Sharon (Lyle) French of Gig Harbor; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by four brothers, Bob (Barb) Huntley of Longview, Curt (Menona) Huntley of Vader, Roger (Janet) Huntley of Utah, and Mike Kelly of Florida; and three sisters, Virginia Dailey of Vader, Anita (Terry) Keeney of Winlock, and Kitty of Canada.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Norton; grandson, Phillip Norton; brothers, Raymond Huntley, Richard Huntley and David Kelly; sister, Karen; father, Archie Huntley; stepmother, Alice Huntley; and mother, Thelma Kelly.

A celebration of life will be held Friday, June 5, 2026, at Napavine Assembly of God at 1 p.m., with a social to follow.
