In Focus: BeatBox Donuts celebrates expanded space in downtown Centralia

Posted

BeatBox Donuts owners Steve Hubbard and his wife Lisa cut officially cut the ribbon in front of their store in Centralia on Tuesday, Feb. 3, in celebration of its newly expanded space.

BeatBox Donuts is located at 209 S. Tower Ave. in Centralia.

It originally launched as a mobile mini-donut food truck.

In addition to donuts, the business’s new community room provides seating and a welcoming space designed especially for younger customers and families. The area includes a reading corner, pool table, foosball and other attractions drawn from Steve and Lisa Hubbard’s extensive toy collection, which originally began as a Toy Museum. Highlights include a functional R2-D2 replica, a Clifford the Big Red Dog figure large enough to sit in, an impressive aircraft carrier replica and an extensive G.I. Joe collection.

“Most items come from my childhood,” said Steve Hubbard. “We’ve expanded from there.”  The ribbon-cutting ceremony was hosted by the Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce.
