A person found human remains while picking up garbage in a Shoreline park, the King County sheriff’s office reported Sunday.
The location where the remains were found, around the northeast portion of Ronald Bog Park, appeared to have been used as a makeshift campsite.
The remains had likely been there for an extended period of time, the sheriff’s office reported Sunday evening.
Sheriff's deputies in Shoreline and Major Crimes Unit detectives will collect relevant evidence from the scene along Interstate 5 near North 175th Street.
The King County medical examiner’s office will try to identify the deceased as well as the cause and manner of death.
