The Hub City Car Show returns Saturday, Aug. 22, which means that once again classic and custom cars will line the streets throughout downtown Centralia.
Organized by the Centralia Downtown Festivals Association in partnership with the Lewis County Quarter Milers car club, the Hub City Car Show features live music, custom trophies and local vendors. And of course, the cars — all on Tower Avenue and Magnolia, Pine and Main streets from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Some downtown Centralia businesses will also feature deals or specials, like O’Blarney’s at the Gibson House, which opens early before the car show at 8 a.m. for a special breakfast buffet available until 11 a.m.
Additionally, Live 95 and KITI will hold their annual car giveaway during the car show starting at noon.
Up for grabs this year is a 2012 Jeep Wrangler featuring a manual transmission built for off-road adventures, an aftermarket audio system and backup camera from Thunder Autosound and a Muffler Man custom exhaust. More information on the giveaway can be found on Live 95’s website at https://www.live95.com/giveaway.
The car show is free to attend, with the entry fee for cars $25 per vehicle. Registration is held the day of the show.
Pre-registration is also available the day prior at 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 21, during the car show’s kickoff barbecue at Kens Bi-right Motors, 515 W. Main St. in downtown Centralia, or by visiting The Shady Lady boutique, 216 N. Tower Ave., or calling 360-736-4333.
