Volunteers at the Historic Borst Home Museum in Centralia are preparing to host an interactive “Christmas at Borst Museum” open house event on Saturday, Dec. 9, according to museum program coordinator Bev York.
Located down Pioneer Way in Centralia’s Fort Borst Park, the open house will run from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., featuring a skit of the Borst family from 2 to 3 p.m. and carolers in front of the Pioneer Church and one-room schoolhouse.
Additionally, attendees will be able to make Christmas ornaments in the schoolhouse to take home and Christmas stories will be read. Children will also receive a treat bag of “yesteryear things.”
