Heat advisory warnings have been issued again for the upcoming week with the projected temperatures being labeled as moderate and low risk.

According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), moderate risk means the temperature will be high enough to create a potential danger “for those who are sensitive to heat, especially those without effective cooling and/or adequate hydration.” Low risk entails danger for “those extremely sensitive to heat, especially those without effective cooling and/or adequate hydration.”

On Tuesday, which is expected to see moderate risk temperatures, the temperature is expected to hit a high of 94 degrees, with an 80% chance of the high temperature reaching between 85 and 95 degrees. Wednesday is expected to see low risk temperatures, with the projected high reaching 90 degrees and an 80% chance of being between 84 and 95 degrees. Thursday is also expected to see low risk temperatures, with a projected 89 degree temperature and an 80% chance of reaching between 79 and 95 degrees.

NOAA released safety recommendations for those who will deal with the high temperatures. Area residents are recommended to stay out of the sun between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., stay hydrated, dress lightly, use life jackets while in the water, not leave children and pets in cars and stay in cool places during the heat of the day.
