The Adna softball team cranked two home runs, including a grand slam by Kaydence Groves in the sixth inning, and both Alyssa Carroll and Tieander Olson had big days at the plate as the Pirates sailed past Onalaska 17-1 in six innings Thursday.
Carroll finished 3 of 4 with a first-inning, three-run home run and four RBIs, while Olson went 4 of 4 with an RBI and three runs scored.
Avery LaFontaine pitched four innings and allowed one run on five hits, striking out three batters.
Onalaska’s Gracin Vickers went 2 for 3 with a double. Randi Haight drove in the Loggers’ lone run in the fifth inning on a single to score Renzy Marshall.
Adna (14-2, 7-0 Central 2B League) will visit Montesano in a non-league clash Friday afternoon, while Onalaska (8-7, 2-4 C2BL) will host Rochester (1-15, 0-8 Evergreen) that same day.
