Good Buzz Brewing will celebrate the grand opening of its taproom with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8.
Festivities include a Jenga tournament with prizes including Good Buzz Brewing caps and gift certificates. Good Buzz Brewing is in the Fairway Shopping Center at 1640 S. Gold St. in Centralia. This is a family-friendly event.
Owners Forrest Chesvick and his wife Aly began Good Buzz Brewing from a hobby of making mead — an alcoholic beverage made from fermented honey and other ingredients, such as fruit and herbs.
In October 2022, Chesvick began a commercial operation by making mead and distributing it to local markets such as M&K Town Store, Jeremy’s Farm to Table, Adna Grocery, and Town & Country Liquor & Wine. The Good Buzz Brewing tap room marks their first venture opening a public space. They serve eight taps: three of their meads, three local beers and two locally sourced ciders. The taproom is family-friendly and includes 20 different board games and a TV featuring sports.
A unique feature of Good Buzz Brewing is that customers can bring their own food or order takeout from any restaurant. They feature menus from restaurants located in Fairway Shopping Center. Because of the family-friendly nature of the taproom, non-alcoholic beverages such as soda, teas and water are available.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony is being hosted by the Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce.
Good Buzz Brewing is opening Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 2 to 9 p.m. Their website is goodbuzzbrewingco.com.
