U.S. Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, D-Skamania County, on Thursday announced she has nominated 15 community projects in the 3rd Congressional District for a total of $44 million in federal funding in 2024.
Gluesenkamp Perez’ office reported the congresswoman opened her Community Project Funding application and “selected projects based on eligibility, likelihood of acceptance, geographical diversity and community support.”
“I’m focused on good governance — being responsible stewards of taxpayer dollars and making sure those dollars have the greatest impact,” Gluesenkamp Perez stated in a news release. “I selected these projects because they’re going to have a real, tangible impact on the lives of everyone in those communities. I look forward to seeing this process through and getting Southwest Washington the investments it needs and deserves.”
