U.S. Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, D-Skamania, recently announced via a news release that she will be holding her 23rd set of mobile office hours in Pacific County.
Residents of Washington’s Third Congressional District will be able to walk in to get assistance with federal agencies such as Veterans Affairs, the Internal Revenue Service and the State Department.
The congresswoman’s team will be available from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 10, at the Ilwaco Timberland Library, located at 158 First Ave N., Ilwaco.
Gluesenkamp Perez has held mobile office hours in every county in Washington’s Third District in which she doesn’t have a district office, according to the news release.
Gluesenkamp Perez has already recovered more than $9.6 million for more than 2,700 constituents owed to them by federal agencies, including more than $542,000 from the VA, $1.8 million from the Social Security Administration and $3.1 million from the IRS.
“My bipartisan team is working each day to directly assist folks across Southwest Washington with federal agencies — whether it’s recovering Social Security checks, tax refunds or veterans benefits you’re owed,” Gluesenkamp Perez said. “Our services shouldn’t be any less accessible because of where you live — so I’ve made it my priority to bring mobile office hours to every county across Southwest Washington. I appreciate everyone who has taken the time to stop by, and I’ll keep working to ensure we can reach more of our rural communities.”
