Girls Tennis: Kuykendall Advances to Sub-Districts Singles Championship

W.F. West’s Claire Kuykendall cruised through the first day of the 2A Evergreen Conference sub-district tournament Tuesday, reeling off two-straight victories to advance to the finals on Wednesday.

Kuykendall will face Tumwater’s Abby Bond in the championship match.

Centralia’s doubles duo of Maddie Corwin and Maya O’Dell are also still in contention and will play in the semifinals on Wednesday.

Centralia’s Liza Hopkins faces Tumwater’s Abby Jasper in the semifinal of the singles consolation round. If she wins that, she’ll move to the finals of the consolation round and play for third place.
