SaberForge in Oregon City is known for creating sabers inspired by Star Wars.

The sabers come in a variety of styles and colors, and are sturdy enough to be dueled with if you want to re-enact a scene from your favorite movie.

Founder Phillip Isherwood launched SaberForge in 2009 after losing his job in the 2008 financial crisis.

“I just decided to do what I enjoyed,” Isherwood said.

SaberForge has a showroom in Oregon City where pre-built sabers can be viewed and purchased. More detailed, custom sabers can also be ordered online. Sabers cost between $200-$300 on average.

SaberForge has special May 4 deals available for Star Wars Day.

SaberForge, 1610 Red Soils Court E. in Oregon City, is open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
