An online fundraiser seeks support for the family of Cameron J. Dimond, the 33-year-old Chehalis man who died Jan. 27 following a two-vehicle collision on state Route 6.

Dimond is survived by his wife, Tammarie, their two children, and another child on the way, according to the GoFundMe page set up on their behalf.

They reside in the Boistfort Valley community.

“(Cameron) was a loving husband, a devoted father and a deeply cherished friend,” the GoFundMe page reads. “His loss has left an unimaginable void in the lives of those who were lucky enough to know him.”

The fundraiser, which has raised roughly $7,788 of its $11,000 goal as of presstime, seeks to ease the burden on the family as they “navigate a world without Cameron.”

“Their loss is impossible to measure and so deeply felt,” the page reads. “Cameron was the love of Tammarie’s life and her true soulmate. He was an incredible father who has raised two of the best kids and was so excited to welcome their third to the world. He was an amazing son and brother, and will be so dearly missed by his family. He has had such an impact in so many lives.”

Those who can’t support financially have been asked to share the fundraiser.

“Thank you for your support and love during the hardest moment of their lives,” the page states.

In addition to the GoFundMe, friends of the Dimond family have set up an online meal train where people can arrange to deliver food to the family, drop off groceries or help with childcare.

People can also donate directly to Tammarie Dimond via Venmo.

According to the Washington State Patrol, Dimond was traveling east on Route 6 in a 2020 Ford Transit van at about 5:47 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 27, when he attempted to turn left onto Stearns Road at Littell.

His vehicle struck a 2012 Ford F-350 pickup traveling westbound along the highway.

The state patrol described the collision as “head-on.”

Dimond was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the F-350, Daniel J. Nederlander, 37, of Onalaska, was transported to Providence Centralia Hospital with minor injuries.
