Posted

A Community Recycle Event will offer Lewis County residents and businesses an opportunity to recycle paint and related items from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 16, in the south parking lot of the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds, 1909 S. Gold St., Centralia.

The Lewis County Department of Public Works Solid Waste Utility is partnering with GreenSheen, an eco-friendly paint recycling company, to offer the free event to the public. GreenSheen collected 173,913 gross pounds of latex paint and 18,304 gross pounds of oil-based paint from Lewis County residents and businesses during two recycling events in 2025, according to a news release from Public Works.

Organizers report that it will help them with planning if customers pre-register to bring items to the event, so they can schedule enough staff and equipment to process the materials. Residents and businesses can pre-register at https://circular.eco/event/lewiscounty.

Pre- registration is not required.
