Frank Bertram Kempf, Jr. died peacefully at his home in San Borja, Bolivia, South America on Sat., Sept. 4, 2004. Frank was born Oct. 3, 1929 at Fort Worth, TX to Bert and Ollie Kempf. He was the eldest of seven children. At 18 years of age, Frank and his family moved to On-alaska, where he graduated from high school the following year.

After high school, Frank worked for Weyerhauser and lived in Vader, while raising a family. When he retired, he moved to Bolivia, SA. There, he was married to Soledad Hurt-ado and for the past 20 years they have served as missionaries with the San Borja Farm and Christian Center.

Frank loved to be with family, eating and joking. He loved children, liked to garden, play the guitar and harmonica and sing. Frank had a strong faith in God that he shared with many people. He had a one of a kind laugh and a tender heart.

Frank will be greatly missed by his family and many friends who love him dearly.

He is survived by his wife Soledad Kempf of Bolivia; a son, Bill Kempf of Selah, WA; a son, Mike Kempf of Tacoma, WA; a daughter, Julie Kerr of Palouse, WA and a daughter, Ingrid Kempf of Bolivia. Frank had seven grandchildren: Caleb, Jos-hua, Tom, Robin, Matt, Carly and Jade. He had several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He had six brothers and sisters: Dean Kempf, Dar-lene Foister, Edna Hamil-ton, Ernie (Frog) Kempf, Ladeva Dahlin and Donna Zyzniewski.

There will be a memorial service on Sat., Oct. 2nd at 11 AM at the Christian Fellowship Church in Winlock. In lieu of flowers, cards/contributions can be brought to the memorial or sent to Darlene Foister, 1202 Walnut, Kelso, WA 98626.
