Four injured in Friday morning hit-and-run on I-5 outside Napavine

A hit-and-run collision on Interstate 5 outside Napavine Friday morning resulted in four people being transported to a hospital, according to a news release from the Washington State Patrol.

The fleeing vehicle was listed as blue in color. All other details were listed as unknown, including the identity of the driver.

According to the state patrol, the unknown vehicle was traveling in the right southbound lane near milepost 72 at about 9:38 a.m. when it changed lanes and struck the RAV4 traveling the left southbound lane.

The collision reportedly caused the RAV4 to lose control, strike the barrier and roll, before coming to rest on the left shoulder of the road.



The unknown vehicle fled traveling south.

The driver of the RAV4, Miguel Lopez Tercero, 51, of Longview, was transported to Providence Centralia Hospital with undisclosed injuries, as were passengers Juana Lopez Velasquez, 31, of Centralia, Ernestina Velasquez Bautista, 48, Longview, and an unnamed 14-month-old.

All were wearing seat belts, according to the state patrol.
