The W.F. West boys wrestling team placed second out of 18 teams at the Your Space Storage Invite at McMinnville (Ore.) on Saturday, with four individual champions.
Cristo Parriott won the 138-pound division, going 4-0 and winning the final by fall. Blake Ely’s time on the mat was even more dominant, winning at 152 with four straight pins and never needing to go to a second period.
At 220, Andrew Penland followed a bye with three wins by fall, and Daniel Matagi did the same at 285.
Tucker Land gave the Bearcats a runner-up finish, taking second at 182. Mason McGregor (106), Beau Guyette (145), and Waylen Land (195) all took third place. Damien Hernandez and Cage Homan took fifth at 120 and 170, respective, and Hayden Sciera was sixth at 160.
