A former employee at an auto repair shop in Napavine is facing felony harassment charges for allegedly threatening to kill the shop’s assistant manager.

The harassment was reported to the Napavine Police Department on Feb. 24.

The former employee, identified as Jesse W.B. Peck, 44, of Raymond, was fired from the business in early February and was “causing problems” between Feb. 12 and Feb. 14, according to court documents.

Peck allegedly showed up at a current shop employee’s residence and verbally threatened to kill the store’s assistant manager.

He allegedly entered the business on Feb. 14 and “yelled at multiple employees” before getting into an argument with the assistant manager and “displaying a knife,” according to court documents.

The assistant manager reported “the argument ended when Peck threw the knife in the ground at (the assistant manager’s) feet.”

The assistant manager reported receiving a Facebook message from Peck telling him to “hide tomorrow,” saying his name was on a list of people “to be placed in a crush car,” according to court documents.

The assistant manager also received a call from Peck at the shop, during which Peck allegedly said he had “better call out.”

The assistant manager reported he was “concerned due to Peck’s recent demeanor, behavior and actions that he may commit a violent act,” according to court documents.

Officers with the Raymond Police Department located and arrested Peck at the Napavine Police Department's request. Peck has since been booked into the Lewis County Jail and charged with two counts of felony harassment, threat to kill.

Bail is set at $20,000 and arraignment is scheduled for Thursday, Feb, 29.

An anti-harassment order protecting the victim is in place.
