Whether you believe Sasquatch stalks the remote forests in the region or you’re a skeptic who thinks it's all a hoax, Longmire Springs Brewing is hosting Legends of the Mountains 2 this weekend in Packwood for both believers and skeptics alike.

The two-day, town hall-style event will be held inside the brewery, where paranormal investigators will give presentations talking about their research — and attendees will be given the chance to both ask questions and share stories of their own cryptid encounters.

Free to attend, Legends of the Mountains 2 will also host a vendor market and food trucks. Food trucks include Zest Sri Thai Mobile and Mountain View Wood Fired Pizza.

Longmire Springs Brewing is located at 112 Norman Way in Packwood.

Additionally, the brewery’s annual summer concert series continues this weekend, with the Olympia-based rock band Motorcar performing both original music and covers on Friday, June 26, starting at 6 p.m., followed by the Lakewood-based 1960s rock tribute band Uncle Buzzy playing on Saturday, June 27, beginning at 6 p.m.

Before Uncle Buzzy takes to the stage to play the hits of The Beatles, The Monkees and more, Legends of the Mountains 2 officially begins Saturday morning with the vendor market at 9 a.m.

Then, the first town hall portion of the event will be held, with attendees welcome to share their own stories from 9:30 to 11 a.m., followed by the following speakers throughout the day including:

• Tish Paquette, speaking from 11 a.m. to noon. Paquette is a Vancouver-based psychic intuitive practitioner and hypnotist who runs Emergence Readings & Reiki, and claims her spiritual abilities have helped her explore Bigfoot’s world and learn about the illusive cryptid. She appeared in the 2022 documentary “Spiritual Bigfoot: A Personal Journey,” and was a featured speaker at the 2024 Yakima Valley Bigfoot Con.

• Members of Legacy Discoveries, speaking from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Legacy Discoveries is a collaborative paranormal research team led by U.S. Navy veteran Mitchell Willey, and has been documenting Sasquatch encounters and evidence in the Coeur d'Alene region of northern Idaho since 2016. The team’s work can be seen on the Legacy Discoveries YouTube channel, @mitchellwilley3210.

• Ron Morehead, speaking from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m. Along with Alan Berry back in 1971, Morehead recorded the famous “Sierra Sounds,” alleged Bigfoot vocalizations captured in the Sierra Nevada mountains. Berry passed away in 2012. Morehead has also been featured in multiple paranormal documentary productions, including the Travel Channel show Expedition Bigfoot and the History Channel show “The Proof Is Out There.”

• Barbara Shupe, speaking from 3 to 4 p.m. Shupe is a self-described “Sasquatch experiencer” and author who has spent decades documenting footprints, hearing unexplained noises and even filming encounters with hulking shadows in the forests around her home in Greenwater, just some 10 miles north of Mount Rainier. Shupe was featured in the 2024 documentary film “A Flash of Beauty: Paranormal Bigfoot,” and earlier this year she published “The Unseen Audience: Walking With Sasquatch,” available on Amazon.

On Sunday, June 28, events kick off once more with the vendor market at 9 a.m., followed by another town hall session for attendees to talk from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

Then, starting at 12:15 p.m., Sara and Jonathan Brown of Salish Sasquatch will speak. The couple has spent years capturing Bigfoot sightings with thermal imaging, recording various mysterious calls and screams, smelling unexplainable odors and more all at their home on Coast Salish land in Grays Harbor County. Jonathan and Sara’s findings can be seen on their YouTube channel, @salishsasquatch.

Also appearing at the Legends of the Mountains 2 is Mel Skahan, Yakama Nation member and Indigenous Bigfoot researcher who spoke at the inaugural event last year.

Skahan runs the annual Yakima Valley Bigfoot Con and was instrumental in helping start the Legends of the Mountains town hall last year after a friend living in the Packwood area recommended the location for a new paranormal festival.

Legends of the Mountains 2 concludes on Sunday with the final public sharing session from 1:30 to 2 p.m.
