The fifth annual Chips for Trails event will take place at McMurphy Park, 317 Annonen Road, Vader, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 19, in celebration of Earth Day.
The Vader Parks Board, volunteers and city staff will be collecting branches and brush for chipping during the event.
The material will be chipped up and spread on trails at the Vader park. During the event, Lewis County residents are permitted to drop off brush and branches to be chipped. Branches should be no larger than 6 inches in diameter.
No trash, hooked thorns, leaves, building materials or plastic bags will be accepted.
