The Toledo boys basketball team made its long-awaited season debut on Saturday, and Cooper Fallon’s 23-point, 24-rebound double-double led the Riverhawks to a dominant 64-36 victory in Onalaska.
Trevin Gale led the Riverhawks early with six points in the first, and Fallon added five to help Toledo build a 17-2 lead.
Fallon got going in the second, scoring 10 points to push the lead to 27 at halftime, and he added six more in the third before finishing with two more in the fourth. In addition to the double-double, Fallon also blocked five shots and dished out four assists.
Gale went on to finish with 10 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists, while Conner Hill hit three three-pointers and finished with 11 points. Eli Weeks added nine points, Joaquin Acosta added seven, and Adam Kruger tallied four.
Ethan Thayer led the Loggers with 11 points, while Noland Brady scored seven and Austin Sturza tallied five. Brodey Triana and Maddox McKinley both logged four, Logan Sturza scored three, and Haze Hamrick tallied two.
Both teams are back in action on Wednesday, when Onalaska (1-3) heads to Adna and Toledo (1-0) hosts Mossyrock.
