Explosive device blasts out door of Tacoma storefront

An explosive device detonated in front of a Tacoma business Monday evening, shattering the building's glass door while three employees were inside, according to Tacoma Police.

Security camera footage showed someone approaching the business just after 6 p.m. in the 4800 block of Pacific Avenue and placing what police believe was an explosive near the front door. The individual, who has not been identified, lit the device and walked away.

Less than a minute later, the explosive detonated, shattering the glass door. No injuries were reported.



Tacoma police detectives are investigating the incident which could yield felony-level charges for the individual involved.
