An excavator was stolen from a construction site in Oregon and used to damage ATMS, deputies said.

Authorities responded at about 4:50 a.m. June 23 to a report of a burglary at a U.S. Bank in Clackamas, the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post.

Deputies said they discovered an excavator still running near the ATM drive-thru.

Someone stole the equipment, drove it from a nearby construction site and used it to “destroy two ATM housings, causing damage to the U.S. Bank building in the process,” deputies said.

Cash was stolen from a drive-thru ATM, deputies said.

No one was at the scene or arrested.

Now authorities are looking for information that could help identify whoever is responsible.

The sheriff’s office tip line can be reached by calling 503-723-4949. An online tip can be made by referencing Case #25-013120.
