The W.F. West High School equestrian team, made up of students from schools across Lewis County, punched several tickets to state this year in various categories.
Athletes also took home hardware for several district competitions, including a gold medal for the large drill team’s performance. They went undefeated in the district this season after heading to regionals in the category last year.
In each category, the top three or top 10% of athletes in the district head to state, whichever number is higher. The state tournament is held in Moses Lake on the weekend of May 19-21.
