Edward “Ed” James Brown

Edward “Ed” James Brown went home to be with Jesus March 24, 2021, after battling complications of COVID. He was born Aug. 11, 1959, in Washington, D.C., but raised in Washington State from the age of three.
Ed honorably served the country as a United States Navy engineer on the USS Ranger in San Diego, Calif., from 1977 to 1981. He met the love of his life on a blind date Jan. 15, 1976, and married Feb. 4, 1978. They had three beautiful daughters and were together 43 years.
Ed loved his family, fishing, and hunting. Always proud of the buck he had mounted and on display at Yard Birds where he was a well-regarded employee for many years. He was known for always helping someone.
Ed was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen “Kitty” Brown; and grandmother, Winnie Siemers; and grandfather, Clarion Brown.
He is survived by his loving wife, Gayle Brown; father, Norman Brown; one brother, Tony (Lori) Brown; and two sisters, Pamela Craddock and Robin Brown. He was very proud of his three children, Rose and James Todd, Jennifer and Aron Radach, and Kathleen and Michael Johnson; as well as numerous grandkids; nieces and nephews.
Services are to be held at 6 p.m., Thursday, April 1, 2021, at the Faith Temple Word of Life Christian Center at 519 W. Cherry St., Centralia, WA 98531.
