Drusilla Mae (Low) Morris Richter passed away at home on Nov. 14, 2014, surrounded by her loving family.  Dru was born in Bucoda, Washington on Oct. 10, 1927, the only child of Daniel M. and Maude (Smith) Low. She graduated from Centralia High School in 1945.  In 1946, Dru married George Morris and they welcomed four children into their lives.  George passed away in 1974.  In 1985, she married Ray E. (Bud) Richter of Centralia, Washington, who survives at the family home. Dru worked at Centralia High School for many years as Secretary to the Principal, retiring in 1990.

Dru is survived by her  children, Robyn Bryant of Tenino, Washington, Beth (Pam) Jarrett-Jefferson of Mercer Island, Washington,  Pamela (Gary) Hodgson of  Chehalis, Washington and Michael Morris of Bucoda, Washington; step children (whom she loved as her own) are Bill (Carol Ann) Richter of  Puyallup, Washington, Carol (Mike) Riordan of Littlerock, Washington and Ray (Hilda) Richter of Bucoda, Washington; and a host of beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, George; her stepson, Earl (Nancy) Richter; and her grandson, Brandon (Tina) Bryant.

A “come as you are” celebration of life and potluck will be held on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Bucoda Community Center on Main Street, Bucoda, Washington.  The family wants to thank the Providence Sound Home Care & Hospice, with a special thanks to nurse Laurel and to Paula,  Adrienne and Terry of Peace of Mind Affordable Home Care for their loving care during mom’s illness. You all were such a blessing to her and to our entire family.
