The adult driver of a car deliberately hit two teens on a dirt bike and ran over one of them in an east Vancouver parking lot last week, police said Monday.
The teens were on one bike and had been riding recklessly through the parking lot, “harassing people, damaging property and preventing a vehicle from leaving the area,” Vancouver police said in a social media post.
The driver hit the teens on the bike, police said, causing both riders to be thrown from the bike. One of them was subsequently run over by the car, suffering a compound leg fracture and other serious injuries, police said.
The adult was arrested on suspicion of vehicular assault. One of the teens is facing charges related to harassment and malicious mischief, police said. Police did not specify the day or time this happened or provide any details.
The names of the driver and teens have not been released.
